Kane County Running Trails
The trail head parking area is large (holding several horse trailers) and below the concrete water storage tank.
A scenic picnic area and fire pit is accessed on the north end of the parking area. This trail offers beautiful panorama views in all directions. The trail is an easy to moderate hike and ideal for horseback rides. The trail crosses several ravines and washes and you can ride as far as you want Return to the trail head using the same trail.
Ride your horse, hike, or run the trail. This trail connects with Tom’s Canyon Trail and passes below the letter “K” on Savage Point. This trail offers beautiful panoramas of vertical cliffs, Kanab,and especially the Kaibab Plateau to the distant south. There are several benches for resting and viewing scenery. The trail is easy. Pugh Canyon lies at the east end of the trail(east end of golf course).
On the east side of Kanab, Tom’s Canyon Trail offers horseback riders and hikers an easy, pleasant hike through sagebrush, dry ravines, and along the canyon floor. The horse trail ends in a quiet beautiful canyon at a picnic area with hitching posts. A 1/4 mile hiking trail continues (hiking only) to the weeping rocks. This trail is easy and well marked.
